Roman was Greed and Ruby was Liberality. He was full of sin and she was full of innocence. According to an old fairy tale, they were soulmates and they were destined to be with each other.
I set Ruby's age to around 17(close to being 18) or 18. There's an implied sex scene later, and I wasn't comfortable with Ruby being 15 and doing that sort of thing, and I know from experience how easy it is for someone of that age to be manipulated.
