Alexis Rain is smack in the middle of life and death.

After an accident at school, Alexis finds herself in a disturbing position. She isn't alive, but she isn't completely dead. In a desolate wasteland where the sun rarely shines, weird men who call themselves the Noctals try to keep people like her, who are caught in between, as slaves. And if she does escape, will she live? Or die?
