"The Girl in the Pale Blue Overall Shorts" is a modern love boat ride within a dark carnival constructed of death and mental illness. It takes readers along a gripping and touching journey where they meet an ensemble cast of fictional of characters who are loud and lifelike and have their own problems; and ways to deal with them. 

The novel moves along an intersecting storyline as the serial killer known as "Goldie Locks" returns after a hiatus to reintroduce his craving for blonde women to those within the city of Los Angeles. 
Damien, a neglected teenager who is just as intelligent as he his quiet, walks the halls of high school as a victim of bullying and his own mind. When he meets a strange and perky girl over an online video game, hope doesn't seem as lost as he once thought it to be. However, he doesn't know she's just the shot that starts his marathon into the jaws of death; but he soon realizes that hope is just as empty as he is.
