When seventeen year old Arianna Frost leaves her small and gloomy home town to live in the sunny Louisiana, she is glad to break free from the constant mist and rain, but has concerns about the neglected relationship with her father. After all the excuses she made not to go there, she has mixed feelings of excitement and nervousness about what to expect from her new home. Although Eadric is arrogant and beastly towards her, Arianna feels a bizarre attraction and an unexplainable bond to her oppressor, a connection that is beyond of what she can comprehend. Loosing her sanity is the only reasonable explanation to the morbid desire that draws her to Eadric.
