Her Story (cringe ahead)

"Daddy? wheres mummy?" father sighed, he looked at me and picked me up. "Mummy- wont be coming home..." he put me down "Make tea for your brothers, I want them in bed by 7, I have to go, pass me your mothers scarf scarlett," I didn't move "wheres mummy?" he balled his fist " pass me her scarf scarlett," I kept the scarf around my neck "wheres mummy?" he sighed, " mummy got very hurt in the war, she has gone away to another place," I looked at him "will she get better? when will she come back?"

this is kind of like a backstory to my OC, scarlett, who will probably be found in most books i'll write, in this book, the only characters I own are;
