In fact, he looked more amused than not. Burning amber orbs locking in on my striking, honey-gold saucers, I never ever felt so threatened and distraught in my entire life.
Coward? I'd admit, especially when I was about the size of half his right limb and my bite probably felt like playtime.

Blue eyes staring at me, and then his lips were on my own. Gasping as I felt the pain beginning to disappear from inside me. Eyes drooping and my body relaxing against his.
