DENIAL
I was drowning in her kiss. The intensity of it filled me with sensations I'd never felt before. I taste her and I realize I've been starving. I have loved before, but never quite like this. I have kissed before, but never did it consume me like this. It lasts for a second, maybe a minute or maybe even an hour, I'm not sure. I'm drowning and drowning and sinking to the bottom of the ocean in her kiss, in her soft embrace. I never thought I could feel wanted like this before and it's intoxicating and it's swallowing me whole. It started off passionate, but we got desperate. The kiss got deeper as we got hungrier, it feels like even my hands can't bring her close enough to me. - LEIGHTON VALAK .. and in which, emotionally unavailable Alea John gets paired up with the rich golden boy on campus, Leighton Valak for a tutoring opportunity- what could go wrong? Are you mine?
We've all heard about 'the main character'. The type of person who lives through the most dramatic and improbable situations, and finds the kind of epic romance you only see in works of fiction. Which makes you think about how unrealistic love like that is. I used to think the same thing until I met him. Until I met 'the bad boy' that, as it turns out, wasn't that bad at all, just simply...a boy. A boy with an easy smile, a charming personality and looks so enticing that I couldn't keep my eyes off of him if I tried. A boy whose shoulders were starting to slump with the weight of his past and his family. A boy who believed that the only way to survive was by putting a lock on his heart and chaining it down to a place so deep inside of him that no one could ever reach it again. A boy who, for reasons I'll never comprehend, placed the key inside my palm and didn't shy away when I tried to free his hidden heart from its restraints. A boy who made me the main character of my own story. A story I never want to forget, and which begged to be put on paper. One sample of my work (Note not all poems will be so serious, some are story like others are light hearted): "Every day, something happens... Someone gets bullied, Just because "They're different" "Nerdy" "Annoying" "Have no sense of fashion..." All those things are of unimportance...! Everyone has a choice, Don't let what someone says, change it! You could stand down... Watch as the victim pleads for help... That's the easy path, But is it the right one? Do you want that on your consciousness? The pain can be so bad... It takes a life... Then it's too late, Regret becomes your best mate... A depressing thought... Although. It doesn't have to be that way...! YOU can make it change! Stand tall, speak loud, Stand up for what is right! That one action... Can save a life...! You could make a friend, A REAL friend. Spread awareness and Right the wrong! Be brave! For those who suffer... You're not alone...! If there's no knight to slay The evil demons away... Find it within you, to be strong! If you get no help, save yourself! You deserve happiness, and it will come! For karma never forgets you! Nor your enemies... Once it comes around, it will go around... Tutoring the Bad Boy. ~~ He smirked. "Whoops! Look who has read 50 Shades of Grey. Trust me getting kinky is almost every guys dream. I knew you had hidden desires! All the shy ones do." I blushed a little. "No! I don't have any hidden desires." The image of me and Bryan on a bed, with no clothes and handcuffs and ties entering my head. I shook my head vigorously. Hell no! That ain't happening in another millennium. Instantly trying to change the topic, I glanced at my bucket list and then at him. "What are you teaching me?" I asked, fear already gripping me like ivy. He smirked evilly. "How to be a badass." ~~ Once in a while, in the middle of life, love gives us a fairytale. And some fairytale love stories are completely unexpected and thus more memorable. No one expected the class president and the leader of Trouble Triggers to even talk about anything but notes and pencils. But then fate's a bitch and loves to meddle! Their life changes drastically when the good girl- Joanna Williams has to tutor the bad boy- Bryan Cooper. Along with the tutoring comes constant fun, too much bickering, lame jokes, scary sarcasm, idiotic friends, too many unknown emotions, jungles in tummy, bucket lists, unheard secrets and haunting pasts.
