Sabrina Summers lives in Los Angeles, California. She is an incoming freshman in high school and has a boyfriend; a film geek if you will. Sabrina has always wanted to pursue a career in journalism, and with this being her first year in high school, she believes she is ready to take on anything thrown at her.
Seven years later, Sabrina lives in a New York condo near the campus of NYU, where she studies English at various levels.
When given a final assignment to write about her life story up until the present, she begins to think about all the things she left behind in California.
In order to dig up her past she emails an old friend who can help her remember: Anthony Tran.
