After her mother's death she feels even more alone especially when her now single father moves them their home country Paris France to a little small town in England that is not well know. There she makes her first friend who she cherishes the moment they meet Lu, who turns out to be a ghost with a mysterious deleterious past which doesn't bother her. As their everlasting friendship goes and Lu shares some cherished moments of his lifetime with her. Does the nightmare of his cause of death come to haunt him as the story is revealed to Anna. Now Anna is on an adventure with Lu to put the past behind and to find eternal peace for Lu even if it means Lu will have to leave her behind for heaven. As well for putting the person behind it all away for good this time.
