My Family, My Life "Sequel To His Butterfly"
Sequel to His Butterfly Eleven long months have slipped away, and the echoes of their mother's laughter still elude Asher and Alexia. The warmth of her embrace remains a distant memory, leaving an ache in our hearts. Tears stream down my face as I envision Avery absent from the joyous celebration of our children's first birthday. I strive to be a pillar of strength for us both, but the weight of her absence grows heavier with each passing day, as she misses out on the abundance of love that surrounds her. In this time of hardship, Emily and Brendan have emerged as steadfast companions. Emily faithfully visits, tenderly combing Avery's hair and engaging in heartfelt conversations as if she were awake. Her feeble attempts at humor directed at Avery serve as a gentle reminder that, no matter how dire the circumstances, we can find solace in one another's presence. Meanwhile, Brendan takes it upon himself to keep Avery connected to the world beyond her bedside. Each day, he immerses himself in the twins' lives, regaling them with amusing and endearing tales of their mother's youth, ensuring that her spirit remains alive in their hearts. I miss you, Avery, I miss your laughter and dazzling smiles. I miss how you challenge me at every turn. I never knew that the world was brighter when you smiled your dazzling smile upon me. That the air was fresher when you were in my presence. That you were my true home, a place where I could be free to be myself. You are my heart it beats only for you and our kids.
