Scars Don't Heal

"Hey I'm talking to you!"

And I'm ignoring you Keegan thought to herself, walking past the tall guy briskly. She kept her eyes trained ahead and engaged as she searched around to find an empty seat.

He grabbed her wrist mid-movement spilling her drink that she had just bought all over the floor. The cup rolled under the table of the small cafe.

"Oops," he said smirking. "You must be more careful" his face and voice conveyed genuineness but she wasn't fooled by the amusement in his eyes. He had done it on purpose.

Keegan Harvey leaves her life behind to start fresh as a student at the University of Texas hoping to find the acceptance that she has always looked for. Things don't start off well when she catches the attention of the town's bad boy, Jesse Hunter.
