Painless Rejection

Summer May Meadows is a beautiful girl with zero social life. She's always cold and cut off. So, when Alpha Green rejects her, she isn't surprised. It was suppose to be painful-as if your soul was being split into two. She doesn't feel a thing, which leaves Alpha Green in shock. In fact, she had shrugged it off and said:

"I would be dead of people saw me with someone like you."

Why wasn't she hurt?
