Nathenàl Ackerman is best friends with Sai Monozoka, who met him through their teacher who is only known as Mother. She has unbelievably strong supernatural powers that have never been used in front of Sai nor Nathenàl. Nathenàl is an amazing gunmen and has army training he learned from his father before he died. Sai was born with the power to control fire of any degree. She has a very calm, level headed and collected personality unlike Nathenàl who is loud and outgoing. They go on 'missions' for Mother and deal with other people and creatures with the same supernatural abilities that are causing trouble. Until one day, Nathenàl, who has never failed a mission, comes across the worst thing possible. A boy and he has stolen Nathenàl's heart. Sai doesn't know what to do but keep her 6'6" redhead of a best friend from getting his heart broken in two.
