I let my eyes slide shut slowly, holding on for dear life- literally- to him. I feel his hands run up and down my spine once more, and his quiet, muffled sniffle. 

"You'll remember me.. right?" I ask. My voice sounds rough- like someone scraped out the walls of my throat with sand paper. 

His lips move along the side of my head gently as he nods. I feel soft, wet taps on my bare shoulder; his tears. "Without a doubt, sweetheart." he whispers. 

"I love you." I whisper. 

"I love you too," he chokes out as my fingers and toes go numb- the life literally leeching from my body. "I always will, baby. Forever and always." he traces small patterns into my arm as the machine picks up next to us, beeping faster and faster. 

And in that moment.. I felt like I could take a deep breath, and finally let go of my excruciatingly beautiful life.

I look into the blue eyes of my best friend and it feels like staring down a stranger. They are familiar and foreign all in the same moment, glossy and pleading. The dimly lit street allows only enough light to cast glimmers on our faces and subtle shadows on the ground. It's raining but I've hardly noticed; all I see is him. *UndergoingExtremeEditing* It's been 7 months since my parents funeral and my life is rubbish, i work in Starbucks, i have a shabby flat and my boyfriend was cheating on me, great huh, pft note the sarcasm. So now i guess I'm single and lonely. I had just finished my shift when i was walking through the cold streets of London at 8pm, my phone started ringing, i didn't notice the number on my phone but i still answered. "Hello?" I said into the phone, shoving my free hand into my coat pocket. "Hello, Miss Jordon, right?" The voice replied. "Um yes" i answered back. "Great! Its Simon Cowell, from SYCO records. I received your demo and i want you in the studio as soon as." His voice beamed through the phone, i was speechless OMG SIMON FREAKING COWELL! "Err Umm, thats amazing news, sorry im still in awe." I chuckled nervously, "Don't be nervous, write a song by next month and bring it to the studio on the 15th of March please. Be at the studio 9am sharp, oh and don't be late, i'll send you details and where abouts to go." He explained. "Thats great thanks so much Si...i mean Mr Cowell." I replied. He chuckled lightly "Goodbye." He said before hanging up. WOW i have to write a song for Simon Cowell.
