Hazel Parker has always been first chair in whatever band she has been in. She plays most instruments but her favorite is clarinet. What happens when she finally runs into someone who challenges her in band?
Bennett Jackson prides himself on being first chair in his high school band. When Hazel moves into town the band director gives her first chair so he is forced to do a good old fashioned chair challenge.

After always placing drumming at the top of her list, she wonders if she should continue to focus solely on her drumming, or if it's worth it in the end to balance her time to be with someone special.
