After one day waking up to find himself teetering dangerously close to the end of an unhappy relationship, Sam, a twenty-something San Franciscan man with an appetite for having things happen the way he wants it to or not at all, embarks on an impromptu Italian escape with his best friend Michael. What they find on the other side of the Atlantic is that their escape had only forced their eyes further open than before, and as the two drift further and further down their own rabbit holes of introspection, so too do their perceptions of what is real and what isn't in a world they seem to no longer find themselves a part of.
