There was a boy. And there was a girl. The boy was captain of the baseball team, while the girl was a shining soccer star. By chance, or by fate, they became paired for a history project. There was no longer a separate girl and boy, but a couple.

A year goes by and the couple grows up. The boy, impossibly enough, becomes even more of a sarcastic asshole, while the girl grows kinder and more striking.

One night, the boy stumbles in, landing in a drunken heap at the girl's feet. The boy says things he can never take back. The girl cries and says it's over. The boy gets angry and screws another girl. The girl cries some more and says five little words that make everything come crashing down. The boy becomes a boy again, and the girl becomes a girl, no longer a couple.

But what if it so happens that they might need each other? Can they be an anything anymore, or should they finally close the door?
