Broken bones, panic attacks, and bruises all over her body are what Mia wakes up to in the hospital. She can't remember how she got hurt, or when it happened, or where she is now. She can't even remember her own name.
When her husband shows up with journals and photo albums and music, determined to help her remember who she is, the memories slowly start to come back. The panic and fear she feels in her husband's presence are slowly replaced with trust, and the possibility of a future together starts to seem possible. But not all memories are good, and some things are better left unknown...

Mia Graham. I've always thought of the world to be a good place. The people in it as well. This man is definitely intimidating and a bit scary but I see how sweet and caring he is. He shows me a lot but he hides even more. He thinks he's the dark and he's determined to show me that he's not worth my time. But he doesn't understand he's all I'll ever want. He doesn't get that I love every dark piece of him. I want everything. But I don't know if he'll let me have it all. Ryder Carson. The world is a terrible place. The people might be worse. That's all I've ever known. But this woman is a masterpiece. An angel. This world is unworthy of her light. These people get to bask in it when all they deserve is to be scalded.
