In a world of devastation and death, humanity learned that living up may just be the best option. One massive group lead by the previous king and queen built a sky city they named Laurent. Once they got up, they met the other humans that had survived the years of hell on their planet. After a tragic event, an all-out sky war rages while a hidden plot winds itself together.

The name Laurent was given to the book and sky city as a tribute to the Mana series by Square Enix. In the game, "Heroes Of Mana", the main group travel to a massive city up in the clouds where the winds rip and tear at anything unprepared. This city is named Laurent, and since I was a big fan of that game (and could never beat it for my life) I decided to name it as such. You'll hear a few lines from the game in the book as well just for Mana nostalgia.
If anyone can get me a picture of Laurent during the cinematic shot on the city, then I can make a great cover.

The Dragon and the Princess
You all know the old fairy-tale's where an evil and cruel dragon kidnaps the princess because of her beauty and then knights in shinning armour arrives to save her. After saving her they get the half of the kingdom and marry the princess and lives happily ever after.. But this story is very different... There was once were a beautiful, kind princess named Lydia who got engaged to a prince, but the princess wasn't in love with him at all. One day as she was sleeping peacefully in her bed with her window opened, a dragon named Lithon attacked the kingdom. In it's attack on the kingdom the dragon flew to the castle and was going to destroy it from pure hatred for the royal family, but then he saw the princess through her open window. The dragon fell for her beauty immediately, so he decided to kidnap her, it would also be the perfect revenge on the royal family. So the dragon took the princess to his place, the princess was of course not happy about that and she did freak out. She didn't wanted to live with a dragon! But then, the dragon reached it's house and he changed into a handsome young man! Even though its forbidden for them to be together, the princess slowly fell for the dragon and the dragon fell for her.. but how will this fairy tale end..? like every other, where the prince comes and slay the dragon and gets the girl, or will it be different this time? In the city of Maleville, there lived a fragile girl by the name Kat Aero. One day, she met a mysterious girl who was the same age as her named Mizuki. She finds that the world she knew shattered for eternity. She weeped and cried as she saw a horrid ghostly beast had been slain by Mizuki. The universe is divided into 3 worlds, Mageo, Earth, and Rifto. Mizuki comes from Mageo, a world of magic and wonders. The people of Mageo are trained with unique magic to kill Riftels, the species of Rifto. Rifto is a dark place full of horrid and ghastly beasts. If the Riftels are to remain on Earth for a certain period of time, they will eventually gain the power to physically kill humans and destroy their race. When Kat discovers the truth of the universe, she also finds out she was born into a family of royalty in Mageo. Mizuki insists to bring her back to Mageo to join her guild and train her as her power of a royal offspring can potentially destroy even the most powerful of Riftels.Complete
Remains of Humanity
After a nuclear war nearly in 2150 the whole Earth has become uninhabitable for humans. There are some major cities which are still running but have very scarce resources such as food, water and oil. There are tall, thick walls protecting people from the outside world, surrounding the whole city and there is a ceiling, blocking the radiation from seeping in as air is filtered through the roof. The year is now 2205 which is the beginning for Earth to become how it was before. There are a group of people called The Warriors who go out and try to look for resources, facing death daily. A seventeen year old boy tries to steal food for his friend, he gets caught and is sentenced to death. The only way he could get out is if he joined The Warriors to search for a mythical jungle which is rumored to be flourishing in food and water. The journey is going to be very dangerous and death can come at any corner. There are bandit clans, somehow surviving outside of the walls and new types of animals unseen from humans that they didn't know existed. He will meet new friends, make some enemies and will be manipulated to do some really idiotic things, will he survive the journey and become a hero? Or will he die anyway?Complete
