Stone Warriors

In the land of Evanyl, there are only two classes: The upper and lower class. The only ways you achieve either status is by birth or winning a brutal competition that will make the victor rich beyond his wildest dreams. The fights, however, are to the death, and the poor are forced to compete once every five years for the rich's amusement. This year's tournament will promise to have even more carnage and gore since Vyron Tamminalin is now in charge. He's more blood thirsty and vicious than his predecessors and adds some twists of his own design to the rules.

Zakyrik Ruequal was the only child of his parents, who passed a few years back. His father was forced to compete and died, then his mother passed a year later from a broken heart. Zakyrik had to take over the work his father did to pay the greedy landlord off where he would not be kicked out of his family home. He hates the competition and everything it stands for. This year though, as his luck would have it, he just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time and was hand picked to compete. Zakyrik plans to do everything he can to escape, and if that's not an option then he's going to be forced to fight for a prize he never wanted in the first place.
