Stephanie Rios had it all, an extravagant job as a pastry chef in a prestigious bakery shop in Phoenix, Arizona. A hunk of a boyfriend, and a sweet, sweet life. But not all good things last.

She suddenly finds herself unemployed, and her boyfriend turned out to be a dick. Completely broke, financially and emotionally, she makes the hardest decision yet, to move back with her parents in a small town as far away from Phoenix a town could get.

Feeling lost and alone, she meets Julio Alvarez, a military man that happens to be her neighbor. His sarcasm and devastatingly good looks leave her breathless even if she doesn't like to admit to it. But her past has taught her to not trust men, especially when they are as good looking as Julio.

Can he be able to win her over? Will she able to pick up the pieces of her broken life?

If it's one thing Phoenix Charles knew, it's that not all that glitters is gold. So when Kai Bae - Hockey superstar, 3 time 'Most Handsome Man' winner and all of Toronto's most eligible bachelor - suddenly took interest in her and only her, she knew something was off, she knew she should run for the hills. Fairytales, Prince Charming and happily ever afters were nothing short of a fantasy to coo little kids to sleep. Phoenix was sure. So how was one night, one conversation, one look in those brown eyes enough to have her sold? To have her muting the volume on her common sense that screamed at her to shut it down? She scored the jackpot! Or so she thought. Heartbreak is one thing. Couple that with betrayal and twisted secrets and even the most solid fairytale is not immune to coming to an end. Again Phoenix is reminded, there is no such thing as happily ever afters, no such thing as a prince out there waiting for her. She kissed the frog, married the beast, expecting the best, only to quickly realize he is nothing short of a fraud... or is he? ~•~•|•~•~ "There is a season for everything... A time to born and a time to die... A time to love and a time to hate" Ecclesiates 3:1, 2 and 8
