Looking out over the bay, the wind playfully tossing my hair, and the waves tickling my bare toes, I can feel only the slightest of comfort. Even though, I wish to enjoy the dreamy scenery, I just can't because the voice in my head keeps nagging me, telling me that this is all too good to be true, and that my life will never be safe. I always feel like I'm on the run, that's just because I am. But this time, however, I refuse to leave. I will not run anymore. I simply refuse. I close my eyes, the ocean's waves sweetly carressing the rocks in the bay is like a soft lullaby to my ears.
This is what you may think my life is like, though in reality...
"REMY! REMY, YOU GOTTA SEE THIS WICKED CRAB! IT'S MISSING THREE LEGS!"
"Alex, I swear to god. If you make me get up from my, oh so comfortable spot one more freaking time, I'm going karate on your ass."
"NO FOR REAL THIS TIME! C'MERE!"
"Just ignore him, Rem'," Colton huffs, kneeling beside me on my beach towel.
"Pfft, I found a sand dollar," Nathan beams kneeling on my other side. "But Alex stepped on it," he groans.

Meet Remy Jackson. If you thought that was bad, it gets worst. Way worst. Remy just moved to Gooding, a small Florida town with big surprises. After moving from her hometown of Wellington Ohio, she has to do the common 'fitting in' that comes accustomed with the whole 'New Town, New Faces' rule that every new kid knows. Though, for this new kid, it doesn't come too hard after befriending one of the Football Team's biggest jocks, Alex Perry. The more time she spends with Alex, the more time she finds spending with Nathan Parker and Colton Wilson.
Remy may seem like the ordinary new girl, but she has quite a few secrets hidden up her sleeves. Can she manage to keep her head low and finish off her senior year unnoticed? Or will she have to move again just so her life is no longer in danger?
"Ava, you have to be quiet! They'll hear you-"
Tears started to spill from my eyes, blending in with the rain that dripped down my face. I shouldn't have come here. The last time I followed someone I made accidentally noise and got them killed. I had to get away from Jaxon.
I turned on my heel, ready to run to, but Jaxon grabbed my wrist. "Let go" I choked, "I have to leave. You're in danger-"
The next thing I knew, his lips crashed onto mine. His arms wrapped around my body, pulling tightly to his chest.
"Stop it" I sobbed, unable to control my trembling. "Why are you doing this? Let me go-"
"I had to get you quiet" he murmured. "Please Ava. You have to try to calm down. I understand you're scared right now, but you have to trust me. We're going to get home safely. Stay with me a few more minutes, and then we'll get the f*ck out of here. I promise."
