Since birth citizens of the spaceship Nautilus are told that the reason they are forced to live in space is because Earth's air has become so polluted and toxic that it is no longer habitable. From the windows of the ship people can see earth, and it's no longer the clean, beautiful, blue planet it once was.

Laney Conroy a young girl, who is learning to be a ship historian, quickly learns that some answers are not adding up. In her quest to find the truth she experiences love, betrayal, and uncovers a secret so large it could change everything.
