Claire is sixteen, she lives with her brother, Colby, and everyday is a brush with chance for them. At a young age Claire promised to never leave her brother's side and to protect him from their mother and father. Living with abusive parents, they fight to keep themselves from getting abused while trying to live as normal of lives as they can. Claire works diligently to keep her brother happy, hoping one day they can move out of the hell hole they call home.
One day, a stroke of what seems to be bad luck leads Claire into an opportunity that just might be a way out for her and Colby. Will they escape their home safely, or will they have to continue playing the waiting game... or is worse trials to come their way?

~Book 1~ ❄️not 100% like the movie. I'm gonna be adding my own reasons why Elliot and their mom aren't together. ❄️ Elizabeth (Ella) Oakley is a 15 almost 16 year old girl with a bunch of secrets. She is also Caleb's "sister". Since Bradly is an ass towards both Ella and Caleb they decided to join forces and stick together. Bradley (Brad) is 16 and also has secrets. He doesn't have friends and is kinda shy. He has a hatred in his heart towards the world and no one knows why. Caleb is 14. He is like Ella's brother. They sick up for each other and do fun things together. He loves his dad and doesn't see the wrong in most things. One day Caleb tells Ella that Bradley and him are going on a trip with their dad and that she should go. She said yes, of course. Little did she know, what started out the shooting lessons in the middle of the woods would turn into their worst nightmare. Bradley has to reveal some secrets along with Ella and he has to start using his brotherly love and instinct to survive. What happens when Ella discover the biggest secret the boys have.
