She has no idea what to expect when she gets there: her uncle sold the cabin six years ago, after all, and the last time she was there she was surrounded by her cousins. The Songs of The Gullible Wiseman: The Early Poems of Maddy Kobar 2008-2013
A young writer's newly released first collection of poems. Written during the tumultuous and at times troubling years of high school and the more forgiving and enlightening years of college, Maddy Kobar captures what it was like to have come of age in the last few years. These poems touch on personal levels with hope and hopelessness amid the most confusing years of one's life as well as some of the larger issues facing our society- such as women's rights, LGBTQ equality and the fragile state of the environment.
