Sa unang berso ng kanta tila ito'y nagpapatama.
Payapang nakaratay sa aking kama at tanging puting ilaw lamang ang aking nakikita. Ramdam ko ang malamig na simoy ng hangin na nagmumula sa labas ng bintana at ninanamnam ang awiting pinakikinggan.
"Tik...tik.. Tik..." 
Tunog ng makina  na siyang dahilan kung bakit ako'y nabubuhay pa. Kasalukuyang siya'y nasa aking agam-agam. 
Nung huling araw ko siyang masilayan, siya ring araw ng kanyang paglisan. Napakapait ng mga pangyayari noon at ito'y dahil sa aking kagustuhan. Sa kanyang paglisan, inakala ko na ito'y akin kakayanin ngunit hindi pala kayang limutin. 

" Palagi kong tinatanong
Sa sarili kong ito
Ikaw ba'y lalayo
Kung lahat ay inamin ko?"

Inaalala ang mga pangyayaring masaya noong kapiling pa siya. Magkahawak kamay na naglalakad at namumutawi ang labis na kaligayahan sa aming mga labi, mga panahong naglalaro't naglalamb
