"Who are you, and what do you want with me?" asked the bright yellow-haired ninja.
"Naruto, don't you remember me?"
"W-who are you?"
I smiled and threw off my cloak. It hit the grass with a small 'putt.'

"I am Natsuki Uzumaki, the fire of Konoha, and also your aunt's child."

Except for a small group of people who saw Naruto as an innocent child who had been dealt a bad hand, no one liked Naruto Uzumaki when growing up in Konoha. However, Naruto was a monster in human skin to the grieving people, so their hostility was far too apparent. Naruto's father, a well-respected man in the village, had blindly placed his faith in the town that he protected to treat his son as the hero that he was for containing the most powerful of the Nine Biju. Naruto didn't know he had a responsibility, but he had the advantage of knowing his parents' names and physical characteristics. He kept trying to change what others thought of him, even after learning about his burden. He could complete his graduation through luck and perseverance and become a Genin. He battled countless foes and overcame the obstacles placed before him by his strength. Along with his teammate, he formed deep bonds with members of his generation, but he soon discovered the hard way that not all of them shared the same feelings. Six Years After (book 2)

12 parts Ongoing

(This is the sequel to my story, Six Years Too Long. You'll need to read that first to understand this one!) Six years after Minato Namikaze rose from the dead, Naruto's graduated the academy with a field of flowers in his mind and the best friends he could've ever asked for. Everything seems like it's going well... until it's not. Conspiracies within the village are keeping Minato on his toes, and Naruto's goal of world peace only seems to get further and further away from him as the Akatsuki stir and start to raise their heads. There are unknown enemies lurking around every corner, and it's up to Naruto and Kurama to stop them-- and who knows, maybe they'll have a little help when they do. (In the distance, the remnants of Uzu call, getting louder and louder each day. Naruto doesn't know what it means for him or for the rest of Team 7, but as the pull gets stronger and stronger, he has a feeling he's going to find out.) Or: Six years after the events of six years too long. (Cross posted on ao3)
