Something tragic happens and Maxon and America are forced to meet a different way. America shuns Maxon out in every way possible only to find out that makes Maxon love her more. The annoyed America lets Maxon take her on a picnic, only one, to get him off her. But what if something clicks and that 1 picnic turns into something more?

The Selection Fan Fiction "I, Clarissa Dossen, will never be free from the cage of other people's choices." Clarissa Dossen is a 17 year old girl sent to The Fraussen Prestige Institute, a boarding school for the rich and famous kids of Sarroine. Her mom has devoted herself to a lifestyle of the utmost leisure and fame; Clarissa's dad, however, is down to earth and kind. In her young country, Sarroine, everyone is labeled. The Prestige are rich and famous, with the Royalty slightly above. The Elite have the wealth of a prestige, but not the fame, and the Modest barely make ends meet. But greatly looked down upon are the Unlabeled. They are such a disgrace to the country that they are ignored. Clarissa believes that these boundaries shouldn't be in place, and when put in a powerful position, she struggles between loyalty to her family and loyalty to her beliefs. What happens when Clarissa realizes she has been selected for a competition she doesn't want to be in? Will she ever want to be a contender in The Selection? Will Prince Alexander win her heart? Labeled follows Clarissa through a tumultuous and romantic journey of self-discovery and development with all the beauty and pomp of the original Selection. Her world is called Sarrione, which is what King Maxon and Queen America re-named the country after dismantling the caste system which their son hastily put back into place through the Labels. She was a poor five in Carolina but now that she has gotten picked her whole life changes overnight. Now instead of worrying that there will be food on her plate at dinner time she is served a five coarse meal each day, every meal. The school divides their boys from their girls. Girls in the right wing boys on the left. Although the sleeping apartments are on either side the classes are co-ed meaning both girls and boys. America never even wanted to go to this school but when she meets the famous Maxon Scheave the principle's one and only son her feelings may change.
