Twenty-Five year old, Marina Ali, is an underweight, insecure, Pakistani in a predominantly Caucasian town of Cheshire, England. When Marina decides to visits a psychic with her best friend Lydia, she is given psychometry, a process where the medium holds an object or person to read the vibration of their soul. It's a way to collect a person likes, dislikes and their memories. Marina is given the name Todd; a name she does not recall. But weeks later she meets a young man with that name, and is instantly drawn to him, she even wonders if he is from a past life, whether something between them is unresolved.
But it seems only she can sense the familiarity. Todd appears oblivious and sees her only as the attractive lead singer of his band.
When Todd leaves the group, Marina finds herself thinking about him every now and again, believing it must be for a reason.
