The war between Oceanids and Sirenians has escalated beyond the peoples greatest imaginings. With their gods slowly losing their power the Sirenians are beginning to lose the battle and with it their entire race. When Abbadon, a strong Sirenian warrior and messenger of the gods, comes across an underwater cave that holds a lost goddess he believes that they may have found a way of winning this war. Nenet has been in a deep sleep for so long, long enough that she has lost many memories of her past and her power. Upon hearing of the war she feels responsible for reasons she cannot comprehend. Determined to reach the Sirenian capital and home of the gods, Capreae, Nenet and Abbadon travel through Oceanid and uncharted territories alike to reach their destination. Will they make it past the Oceanid god, Ramesh, Nenet's capture and tormentor? Will they find the answers they need to finally end the millennia long war?

Mother once told me before she was banished, "You have to be strong, My Love. You will face great challenges but you have be brave and never truly forget what is important. You may have to make sacrifices but above all cherish your brother, he is only trying to look out for you." At that time she said those words, I didn't understand what she was talking about. But now I realized the lore of everything I taught and knew is not at all what it seems... It wasn't until after everything happened that I found and saved a human that I soon realized what was happening. But that human, Seivon Rivers, I promised to find again, but unfortunately I never saw him again... Yet he stole an important part of me that day I saved him. What happens when a young siren meets a human man? She certainly won't drown him, he's too special. But what would the other sirens say about it? ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ This is my NaNoWriMo 2021 entry. It was, as the challenge goes, written in the span of one month. As such it has not been well revised and is less than ideal. It is likely not fleshed out properly, as when I wrote it I was merely sticking to a story and a timeline so that I could finish in time. Sirens in this world do not drown humans. Instead, they feed off of the adoration from humans that they lure close, and then wipe their memory.
