For the Servamps, the only purpose they had, was to serve their Eves until they died. Even, they gain, through the only method they knew how.
The contract.
The contract is formed when the human gives the servamp two things.
A name and an item.
The contract can also be broken when the eve dies or when the bond between the servamp and eve is weak enough to break.
This is common knowledge between the servamps.
They thought that was all they had to know about eves and that was all that they could do.
To give them a reason to live.
They were wrong.
The eves were the reason.
