Only Human is a science fiction drama about a forgotten super-soldier, who must keep up with a unit of next-generation super soldiers in spite of his now-obsolete technology.
The inspiration for my story came while reading about DARPA's (a government agency) research on super soldiers. As a handicapped person, I began to ask myself: how far would I go to remove my limitations?

The Debt Collectors War
Ellie is a soldier in a world without governments. A generation ago, a series of financial crises caused most of the world’s governments to collapse, and left many of the people in those countries in terrible personal debt. Ellie is serving in the Afghan Police Action when she receives bad news from home. She is told the daughter she hasn’t seen in years is dead. She flies home from war, upset, to do what needs to be done, but once there she finds out all is not as it seems. Ellie’s daughter is alive and unhurt. She is being held by of one of the many debt-recovery corporations. Held, for leverage, to make Ellie do the corporation a favour. Ellie’s daughter will be returned unharmed if Ellie does as they wish. The son of a company director is lost somewhere in the wilderness of post-debt-restructuring America, and hasn't been seen for three days. The company wants Ellie to go and find the kid, and Ellie doesn't know if she can. The one rule she's stuck to all her working life is to never to go to America, but now she might have to. She will have to, if she wants to save the daughter she hasn't seen in years. This is my take on those stories that have only one human male on a planet full of anthros. You know the ones, where a nuke, virus, or/and war that destroyed the human race except for one and for some unexplain reason ten years later furries rule the earth with a fully functioning government and technology. Oh, and sometimes this human has all the powers of comics and mange for also unexplained reason or another. With every character is spelled out on these bio picks before you even read the story, ruining any suspension or mystery the story could have. Sorry, went on a little rant but I have a hard time reading those kinds of stories, so I decided to make my own. So the actual story; A human crash landed onto a alien world where the dominant species are ten feet tall female wolves. Now he have to survive this warrior world that seeks to use him or destroy him, but under his meek facade is something much more then any one could imagine. Hope you enjoy.
