Roxanne Powell McClintock is many things. She's paranoid, self deprecating, dedicated, ambitious, and special.

But she's never been told about the last three. Everyone she's associated with has only ever told her her faults, and as expected, it's taken a huge dent out of her self esteem. Yet, she still strives for a brilliant future and puts on a good face that fools everyone.

Sullivan Faber Irvin isn't quite so gullible, and one glance at Roxy peaks his curiosity, and makes him feel things he shouldn't be feeling.
