Alexis Carter has always had a passion for writing. Each year, London hosts an annual writing competition with a $100,000 prize. However, with a dying mother and an alcoholic father, she's never been able to go. Until this year. In this short story, while Alexis's mother is on her death bed, her dying wish is for Alexis to finally go to London and live her dream. The only question is, how could she possibly leave her mother behind?
----
The first two chapters in this story show Alexis's relationships with both of her parents though EVERY chapter after it would be her Diary entries. The entire diary is the book she is submitting for the writing contest, hence the title.
