That's right, there would be no Mockingjay, there would be no victory, and the Capitol would still be ruling. The victor from the 74th Hunger Games was Rue, and the victor from the 75th was Joanna Mason. Haymitch is dead, and so are many other beloved victors.

It's now time for the 76th Hunger Games, after the Quarter Quell. Another bloodbath.

My name is Riemay Givewood (prenounced: Re-may giv-wod). I'm fifteen years old, and I live in District Four. My cousin is a victor, and her boyfriend was too until he died in the 75th hunger games. My mother died when I was young, and my older brother is now nineteen. My father is a fisherman, just like almost all people here, but he wants to rebel against the Capitol. He has secretly gone to all the Districts, in search of the Mockingjay; the one who will save us from the Capitol once and for all.

But I don't believe that.

I have been in the reaping three times, but the third time was different.

I volunteered.

I guess it was an in the moment thing, but I volunteered for him in the 76th annual hunger games.

And I plan to win.
