The two things she didn't have was a mother, and although she didn't want it, Thaumaturge powers. Fenna's world is split between Thaumaturges, who have magical abilities, and Primitives, who have natural abilities. The two societies, if you couldn't guess, are complete rivals. On Swearing day, Fenna discovers that she is in fact a Thaumaturge, and she is on the run to the Peace Border to get to the Thaumaturge land, and along the way she will discover secrets about her mother and herself.

Luna's life isn't exactly 'normal' her parents are people you would call sorcerers. They don't belong in the normal human world but the world they once lived has been taken over by the Darkness and is unsafe for young children. When Luna turns 16 she is to cross to this world to not return until she decides to have kids of her own. As at 16 her abilities start showing which is also too dangerous because Luna herself isn't what her parents expected her to be.Complete
