"The fuck you are leaving me." His roar cracked through the hall like lightning. Ara didn't blink. She stood there, calm as death, done to her core. No tears. No tremble. Just a weary exhale as she turned her back on him - the one thing he never thought she'd do. Before she could take a step, his hand shot out, gripping her arm like he was holding on to life itself. "Where are you going, Ara!" His command shook the pack. But she wasn't his to command. Not anymore. Ara ripped her arm free with a force that made even his wolf recoil. "Don't. Touch. Me." I grew used to him and the glowing halo he adorned, and he became the reason there was always a hint of a smile on my face. Even if I didn't know the story behind his untraditional appearance to me. Eventually, when we both realised what was going on, something began to change. We were distant at first, not knowing how to handle it, but after everything, he became something close to a friend. He gave me a shoulder to cry on and he kept my head above water, but most of all, he gave me someone that I knew I could always trust. But working our way around the guidelines as friends was hard enough.
