Boarding the plane with my small carry-on rolling behind me, I almost unconsciously checked everyone's surface thoughts.
Most who hadn't seen me were just thinking their own things and minding their own business. Others who saw me noted my wings with curiosity, but did not feel the need to ask. I got to my seat and continued reading the thoughts of those further in the plane, and got most of the same types of thoughts for everyone.
One, however, caught my attention. That's when I knew that someone on this plane was planning on killing the Queen of Langden.
