I walked down the hall away from the party, hot tears evaded my eyes quick to swip them away. My heart ached for a union that was impossible from the beginning.
I came to a hault a musky minty scent came to my nose, sending my beast into a frenzy "Mate!" it whined.
"He's found m-!".
I quickly turn on my heel, running away from the smell,causing my beast to whimper more tears managed to slip away from my eyes this couldn't be happening 'No..'.
Strong hands grab a hold of me pulling me into a strong chest, I gasped. His touch sent a beautiful sensation threw out my body, he pushed me against the wall
"Mine"
His husky voice growled in my ear, it sent shivers down my spine. I looked up at him
my air hitched seeing who was my mate
... but why ? ....
It was him the Lycan king of Crimson's peak , my voice berly audio.
"Mate"

If you were to ask any werewolf where their life really started to mean something most would tell you it was when they first laid eyes on their mate. Well I have to tell you that I haven't met my mate but my life definitely matters. It all started with my shift. Ever since I was old enough to walk my dad started training me. My dad always told me the day a wolf shifted would be one of the worst and best days of their life. Well, dad was half right. It was the worst day of my life. But not for the reasons you think. I was about to round a corner when an amazingly wonderful scent hit me like a ton of bricks. I tried to follow it but got knocked down in the process. I groaned as I hit the ground. The smell was closer now. I hurried to pick up my books and the person that accidentally knocked me down I believed, helped. They grabbed my hand to pull me up. They call them enforcers-They are the ones that come in and clean up when laws have been broken. They are the most feared and strongest of us. They were the ones who couldn't live peacefully in the packs so they decided to make use of them. Soliditary wolves with alpha personalities. I am not like them. I'm worse. I'm a considered a rogue. Something that must be hunted down an exterminated. I'm not a bad person and I've never hurt anyone in my life but my wolf, I can't control her when I shift. We saw something when we were young. My whole pack was slaughter before our eyes and now my wolf is like a wounded animal she lashes out at times unable to tell between friend and foes. A uncontrollable wolf is dangerous in a pack. That is why I chose to live as a rogue, hiding from the werewolf committee and their laws. Luckily I've learned to blend in very well but when I end up in the wrong place at the wrong time my peaceful life quickly comes to an end. Now I'm the prisoner of the enforcers who should have killed me. Why haven't they killed me? Well because by some cruel trick my mate turned out to be their leader. Now I'm stuck with someone who isn't sure if he should kill me or if he should take me to his bed. Don't I get a say in any of this? How could this possibly get any worse... Every time I tried to stop, something clenched in my stomach, instinctual and feral. It compelled me to move. Sometimes it felt like it was pulling me in the opposite direction, back the way I came. That feeling I ignored - nothing short of demonic possession could convince me to go anywhere near that forest ever again. It wouldn't be nearly long enough that I would realize I hadn't imagined that pull. That some invisible force was compelling me towards that man. To Nate. When I did realize, I made sure I used it to keep running in the opposite direction of wherever it told me to go. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Picture this: you're a 17 year old werewolf. Your Alpha, under false counsel, believes your entire family instigated a failed coup so he kills your parents, and you're next. Your options are basically die now, or turn rogue and die anyways. What do you choose - swift and painless, or drawn out and lonely? If you answered, "Neither," then you'd be correct. I didn't anticipate, though, that one bad theft in the beginning was going to send a ripple that would come back to haunt me in unimaginable ways.
