Counting Down Colors

Indigo, not at all interested in anything except photography, reading, and her best friend, tried running from the inevitable. The time ticked down day by day, second by second. "Why?" she cried - mentally of course.( No one could know that Indigo Emmy Carlisle had feelings.) This was not something she could escape. Her aunt tried telling her it was what was best. "The government has planned this. It isn't something to be scared of. " Indigo claimed she wasn't scared, when in reality she was terrified. So much had changed already. Things were just beginning to become normal, and now, she had to prepare herself for the changes that were going to come with the last "Tick - tock " of her watch.
