It is 2521. The world has come to an end. Beings called the halves which are half human and half mystical creatures are the only beings in the earth who are alive, they live in two separate groups. One called the Ellie's who live in a cave, the others called the Phoenix live in what used to be Los Angeles.when the leader of the Phoenix calls for a search of any possible living humans, they find one named beryl. But when beryl wakes up in the beach she has no memory of what happened. The halves then try to take in beryl. The halves keep a secret from beryl about her own life.

May finds out a mysterious part of her life that her parents haven't been telling her. She's adopted, but that's not the only thing. Her adoptive parents tell her that her biological parents were from another world, they were what mortals called, 'Half breeds'. Does this mean she's also a half breed you might ask? She didn't know what monster she would become. So for her adoptive parents safety they decide to send her to away to a camp that they've been talking about for years. So then she arrived at a portal in the woods greeted by a guard. The guard sends her through the portal and when she arrived to the other she had seen something unbelievable, people just like her.
