Days of Darkness: Awakening
What happens when parallel universes collide? When a portal opens up in the middle of the city, it unleashes a reign of terror unlike anything that anyone has ever known. With the world's military forces unable to contain the problem, the world is plunged into darkness with Chicago as ground zero.
Over the course of two years, the human race has been driven underground and lives in constant fear. Resources are scarce and time is running out for the planet. Among those people, is Damien, who, because of the invasion, was orphaned at eighteen years old and forced to learn to fight to survive. Together, with his friend, Christian, he stumbles upon a group of people who have dedicated their lives to fighting the invading forces.
After a close encounter with the Nightstalkers, a race of reptilian-like creatures, Damien's world is, once again, turned upside-down as strange things start to happen to him. Soon, he comes to realize that he is more connected to this threat than he could have ever imagined. And when the true threat reveals himself and his power, it becomes clear that the fate of the entire planet could be decided in an instant.
