When unexpected circumstances take Mercy Rae Harrison and her parents, Jeb & Carla, all the way to Fort Worth, TX, leaving Canadian was the hardest thing she'd ever done, especially at the age of thirteen. Ten years later, after Jeb passes away, his last wish was for his daughter to return to her birthplace and take care of a piece of land that he left to her. Two hundred acres of beautiful farming land, with a ranch house, barn and manmade pond on the land, how could Mercy Rae say no? His will states that the ranch has the legal name of The Circle M, but little did he know that Mathis Gillis, the richest man in Canadian had his sites set on her land. Gillis will stop at nothing while trying to drive the young woman from her home, and thinking her weak, he finds out just how strong Mercy Rae really is with her family and friends standing beside her. Meanwhile, she meets a handsome cowboy who owns a ranch a couple of miles from hers, and sparks fly as the two get to know each other; taking on old flames who want nothing more than to take out the new competition. Enjoy this story as it unfolds and Mercy Rae is reunited with past friends and in the process makes new ones.

To him, she was the perfect definition of an angel. What would an angel like her want with a cowboy like him? Did he even stand a chance to win her heart? Dixie Harden and Jason Archer have had it for each other since they were little. After the school closed and the Archer's moved, they haven't seen each other in ages. But that was about to change. One day, unexpectedly, they run into each other at the mercantile. It was peaches and cream from there. All seemed to be perfect, and they would have each other at last, or so they thought. After crucial circumstances pull them apart, the things that surface become too much to bear. Will their love last despite all the lies and treachery, or will the cowboy lose his angel? Started: March, 2019 Ended: September 18, 2019 Edited: 🚫 Word Count: 55,235 Note: This was my second ever book to write, and it's super cringy. It's also written in country/western lingo so some things won't seem grammatically correct. Also, this book is based on the Wild West time period (1865-1895). Some of the places that will be mentioned in this book are fictional places I have come up with, others are (or were) real but may look different than they actually looked in history.
