Josh Walker, guitar guru and ferret lover, has two New Year's resolutions - 1) to talk to the girl with the turquoise hair he couldn't stop looking at (perving over) in the library and 2) for his death metal band, Goat Fiend, to finally hit the big time. Trouble is, he has no idea who the girl in the library is and Goat Fiend are rubbish. Not only this, but Josh's nan keeps escaping from her nursing home, teachers at college keep telling him he's going to fail his exams and all his mates seem to have non-stop girl/boyfriend problems. Amazingly, Josh manages to get together with the turquoise-hair girl (Holly) but there's something not quite right in her household. It turns out Holly has an eating disorder and although Josh desperately wants to help her, he isn't sure how...
