Two polar opposites, a small university, and one thing in common: a dark side of their life that has never before seen the light. Kellsey Belle Breland is an outcast, and everywhere she goes she is looked down upon. She's an odd girl with a terrifying past and a present that's just as bad. She has no friends, and the only person she has to call family is an abusive father who blames her for everything... including the loss of his wife and son. Jacob Lee Walker is the all American boy. He's one of the most popular guys in school and captain of the football team. He always has a smile on his face, yet it never reaches his eyes, suggesting that there's something more to him than what everyone sees. Something that he hides. That he's scared of. When their paths collide, will sparks fly? Or will everything be a terrible disaster? Warning: This story contains mature scenes. Reader discretion is advised. Enter at your own risk. We all have problems, right? We’ve all felt at one time or another that God has it in for us. Am I right? Of course I am… Nathan, Jacob, Millie and Mandy all have problems, each bad in their own ways. Sixteen year old Nathan is having to deal with being a teenage homosexual, in a society that refuses to accept it; a brother who is always poking his nose in his business and not to mention parents that are constantly hiding things from him. Does Nathan want to know what their hiding or would it be better if some secrets are left as just that? Then there's 17 year old Millie Kainbridge the popular, pretty bitch who if you're not like her and her friends you don't exist. Is that what she really thinks, though, or is she just keeping up appearances? Is she hiding something from people? What would happen if someone was to stumble on to her secret? It might just kill her. Imagine living in a world where nothing ever goes wrong. A world where dogs and cats frolic in the sunset, a world where there is no such thing as war. It sounds good doesn’t it; yet we know we can never get that. Mandy however, sees the world in exactly that way. She sees everything through rose tinted glasses. How long will it be before the glasses crack and she gets a big helping of reality? Last but certainly not least, we have Jacob Smith. He knows what he wants in life and stops at nothing to get it. He has everything in life to help him get it. His family is rich and he's got the brains so what is there to stop him? But then again when does life ever hand you everything on a silver platter? It likes to have its fun first...
