I sighed as I put down my burnt stick that I was using as a pencil attempting to smear the black over my mark. I should be carving this somewhere so the charcoal marks won't be wiped away as easily as the population was. I thought it was pitiful to leave someone as bland as me to mark down history and not someone more inclined to make it sound more creative, but maybe they wanted it to be blunt so in the future they would realize how much idiocy and ignorance gets you in life. "Giving up already are we?" I playfully groaned turning around to meet cool steel eyes and shining autumn hair before me. "Like you could do any better Alexa," I let a small, cheeky smile flash over my face before she shrugged and turned away walking off, "I guess you will just have to see later but for now we have to get moving. They are coming." I just huffed as I grabbed my bag and paper chasing after her. It seemed like we were never going to be free.
