Luke was always pretty open when it came to feelings.

 He liked a girl: he told her.

 He didn't agree with something: he stated it plainly. 

He was open with every feeling except for one. One he had tried to hide for so long. One he had tried to forget about over and over and over again, yet it still kept coming back. The thing was, this feeling would be completely normal for him to express... if only it was towards a girl.
