"You clearly need saving, and I'll be the one to do so." He says with sympathetic eyes that are just masking his man-pride.

I fold my arms over my chest and scoff at his reasonings. "I am a strong woman, I can take care of myself."

"Sara..." He takes a step forward. "You're..." he trails off thinking of a word.

"Broken?" I suggest. "I am not broken, I'm just a little... bent." And with that I sit back down on my bed, fiddling with my hands, wishing for this conversation to be over with.

Sara Vitale has a life that someone wouldn't wish upon anybody; abused, alone, and broke. The only thing that's keeping her alive right now is the need to protect and raise her 7-year-old brother, Brady. She does what she needs to do to earn money.... things she's not necessarily proud of.
