Royce, Jaiden, Gwyneth, Bailey, and Nathaniel have almost nothing in common. They all have different interests and ambitions, hail from different social standings, and live miles apart, both metaphorically and literally.

The one thing that brings these five children together is not some common physical interest. Each of them is fighting their own personal mental battle that almost everyone else around them is completely oblivious to.

Hopelessly lost within their own minds and isolated from the world around them, all they want is for someone, anyone, to hear their cries for help. But in a cold and unforgiving world like their own, finding someone to listen to those cries may be more difficult than any of them believe it to be.
