The world is in tatters from the Great Nuke War, humanity has retreated to seven cities that float above the dangerous atmosphere below. But something has changed in humanity. Certain people now posses genetic traits that can result in mutations allowing them to have power. As part of a government program Lightning Storm was created in the lab, nurtured by chemicals, pain and a hard government regimented system designed to create the ultimate weapon. She was genetically modified to have wings, and be a biological weapon to keep peace. But she has long escaped the holding facility where the 13 mutants grew up together, and now lives a dangerous life as an assassin hiding from government detection, slowly picking off high government officials as a day job, while secretly leading and protecting the now flourishing rebellion that will one day strike back. That is it was secret until the government discovered the 7th city base. Now Lightning and the rebels must struggle to finalize preparations within the two month deadline. And as if additional stress was required, Lightning's dark secret is discovered in a hunt for the 13th mutant. Will they be ready to battle the tyrannic government?

Her daughter called out to her, but Celeste couldn't reach her in time. When the light faded, Celeste found herself in a forest all alone. She wandered around until she found herself on the streets of London, where she eventually bumped into a tall man dressed in a butlers outfit and a young boy at his side. Celeste almost fainted from seeing them; she was face to face with characters from her favorite anime! Ciel Phantomhive offered Celeste room and board at his manor, as long as she worked for him as a maid. Knowing she needed a place to stay until she could find a way back home, Celeste accepted the offer. Taking up residence with Ciel at the Phantomhive manor, Celeste began her journey. The Butler and Ciel are confused by her strange behavior and way of speaking and even more confused by her lack of willingness to talk about herself to them. The Butler is interested and the earl is suspicious. Just who is this strange girl that they've brought into their home? And what is she hiding? * I own nothing but the OC's and plot. Six high school students looks like anyone else acts like anyone else but are capable of things no one else is. They learnt from a young age no one that means NO ONE can know about their powers even their parents and other siblings. It brings out the true friends and those who just want to use you. In the end, what do you do when your closest friend betrays you? This is the story as they try to keep their biggest darkest secret of what they are capable of and as they discover they're not the only ones like them... I am not very good at trigger warnings before individual chapters but there is mention of blood, cold abuse and parents divorcing. (But read at your own risk in case I mention something else. I am working on rewriting this story and when I do there will be the trigger warnings in the correct places.) (small teaser.) No one sees me. I am a ghost. I brush against the wooden fence. No one will believe it was me who disappeared into a fence and appeared on the other side of school. I stare at my brother. He made eye contact with me, confirming my suspicions. We both saw it.
